Chief Executive Officer

Meryn Pease is a highly experienced professional in the field of rural and regional health. With a background in nursing and midwifery, Meryn has held senior executive roles in both Queensland and Victoria, and has also served as CEO throughout regional Victoria. Her passion for creating a positive work environment where staff can feel engaged, motivated, and inspired to deliver excellent care for the community is always evident. Meryn’s dedication to her work is reflected in her friendly and approachable demeanour, while her extensive experience and commitment to excellence has helped to grow the Beaufort and Skipton Health Service to a vibrant and effective Health Care facility.

Dr. Craig Winter
Director of Medical Services

Dr. Craig Winter is a skilled and respected medical professional with an impressive track record in emergency medicine. As the Director of Medical Services and a Fellow of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Winter’s expertise and knowledge are highly valued within the medical community. He currently works part-time at St Vincent’s Emergency Department in Melbourne, and has previously held positions as Director of Emergency Medicine at St Vincent’s, Northern Hospital, Latrobe Regional Hospital, and Masonic Hospital in Sydney. Dr. Winter has also over 15 years of experience working with small rural health services, demonstrating his commitment to improving healthcare access for all Australians. His friendly and approachable manner has endeared him to his colleagues and patients alike, making him a respected and trusted member of the Beaufort and Skipton Health Service team.

Mary Cushing
Director of Clinical Services

Mary Cushing is the Director of Clinical Services at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service. Mary has significant experience working in both metropolitan and regional health services where she has worked in critical care and organisational quality and safety, for a number of years, in senior roles. Mary is passionate about creating an environment where patients, staff and the community feel valued and can be proud of the excellent care provided by their Health Service. She is a valued member of the Skipton and Beaufort communities and operates a family farm that has been in the family for over 100 years. Her friendly tone, dedication and influence in providing quality healthcare is always evident in the service provided by Beaufort and Skipton Health Service.

Chris Nykoluk
Chief Finance Officer

Chris Nykoluk, our Chief Finance Officer, is a valuable member of the Beaufort and Skipton Health Service Executive team. He has extensive experience from working in various financial roles including the health care industry. Chris has expertise in financial management, systems and control, internal and external financial reporting, and financial legislative compliance reporting. Chris is a great asset to our Health Service operations and provides excellent support with his expertise in financial controls and reporting. When he is not working, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his family and the odd game of golf.

Kel Oswin
Support Services Manager

Kel has over thirty years of experience in property services management. He is also a qualified Horticulturist and has been involved in large scale project management for sporting facilities and developing major landscape projects. Kel has managed departments and led diverse teams for the Accor Hotel Group and RACV resorts where he has served in areas such as project management, managed multi-million dollar capital works projects, procurement, OH&S and risk and audit management. He is focused on finding solutions, improvement and advancement within the areas he is assigned to.
