Acute Care

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is fully credited under Standards developed by the Australian National Safety and Quality Health Service Commission.

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service has two campuses. The Beaufort campus has 10 acute beds and the Skipton campus has six acute beds. Each acute bed at the Skipton Campus has an ensuite. The Beaufort Campus has two rooms with shared facilities.

Our health service offers excellent care options to the residents and visitors of Beaufort and Skipton providing assistance for all urgent health care needs.

Our acute care area employs accredited registered nurses who have advanced life support skills and are available 24 hours a day – 7 days a week. Doctors from the co-located Medical Clinics in Beaufort and Skipton provide support during the week and are available on call after hours.

Patients are admitted under the care of the Visiting Medical Officer (or GP) and in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager.
