CELEBRATING OUR TEAM

International Nurses Day is a global celebration that acknowledges and celebrates the commitment and bravery of nurses around the world.

Once again, this year Beaufort and Skipton Health Service went above and beyond to recognise and celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12. The Health Service organised morning and afternoon teas for the staff at both the Beaufort and Skipton campuses, to honour the hard work and dedication of health workers, both locally and around the world.

This year, the theme chosen for International Nurses Day was “Our Nurses, Our Future, The Economic Power of Care”. Nursing and care staff gathered to celebrate the day and reflect on the vital role that nurses play in society. CEO, Meryn Pease, thanked staff and expressed her gratitude for their dedication to their patients, the community, and each other.

Ms. Pease, a strong advocate for nursing, with over 40 years of experience in the health industry, emphasised the important role that nurses play in keeping communities healthy.

The Health Service made sure that all staff were also included in the celebration. Ms. Pease thanked everyone for their loyalty and dedication to the welfare of those their in care, recognising the invaluable contributions of all staff members.

International Nurses Day serves as a reminder of the essential work that nurses and healthcare workers do evry day. Beaufort and Skipton Health Service’s celebration of this day is a testament to their commitment in recognising and appreciating the hard work and dedication of their staff. Each staff member was presented with a gift, also in recognition for the work they do.
