Exercise Physiologist

Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave) Part Time (16 hrs per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Exercise Physiologist. The position is situated in the Community Services team and is expected to work across acute, residential and community teams.The Exercise Physiologist will work across both the Beaufort and Skipton campus.

The role is designed to provide specialist Exercise Physiologist assessment and intervention to those community clients that access Community services at Beaufort and Skipton Health Services, as well as current inpatients and residents.

Key requirements include:

  • Knowledge of chronic and age-related conditions
  • Demonstrated understanding and skills in group work
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and achieve positive and lasting outcomes with people who have complex health conditions
  • Established practice in the principles of consumer-centred practice
  • Demonstrated understanding and skills in health promotion and program development
  • Ability to communicate in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment

Exercise Physiologist Position Description

Enrolled Nurse

Permanent Part-time (hours negotiable) and Casual positions available

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We have positions at our Beaufort campus.

The Enrolled Nurse is an integral member of the Clinical team working with the Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the Registered Nurses to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care in a variety of clinical settings.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Advanced clinical skills and a commitment to high quality care and services

- Experience in an Aged Care facility preferred

- Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse

- Commitment to the philosophy of a person-centred approach to providing care and services

- Understanding and knowledge of Accreditation Standards, Aged Care funding and Aged care legislation

- Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills

- Proven ability to guide, motivate staff and promote a positive work environment

- Commitment to undergo a criminal history check

Registered Nurse

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We have positions at both our Beaufort and Skipton campuses.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the total care of the patient and resident, including physical and mental wellbeing and safety, as well as for the management and co-ordination of staff, being at all times mindful of following orders or recommendations of the Director of Clinical Services and Medical Practitioners. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing individualised person centered care, on a day-to-day basis and practices according to their own level of educational preparedness and competence.                                 

Key requirements include:

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in relation to nursing care, relevant to experience and scope of practice.              
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of team and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Demonstrated strong self-management skills.
  • Good understanding and adherence to the principles underpinning person centred care.
  • Division 1 Nurse with current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Registered Nurse position description

Occupational Therapist

Permanent – Full-time or Part-time (hours negotiable)

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. This role is based on our Beaufort campus, just 30 minute drive from Ballarat.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist. The position is situated in the Community Services team and is expected to work across acute, residential and community teams.  The Occupational Therapist will work across both the Beaufort and Skipton campus.

The role is designed to provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to those community clients that access Community services at Beaufort and Skipton Health Services, as well as current inpatients and residents.

Key requirements include:

  • Timely and appropriate occupational therapy services to inpatients, aged care residents, and primary care clients.
  • Knowledge of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of current Occupational Therapy practice across a range of clinical settings including community, residential aged care and acute environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as an individual practitioner within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including the ability to utilise computer software programs and Microsoft Office products.
