The 2020 Community Health Needs Survey showed a priority for local access to medical, dental, mental health and chronic disease management services. Feedback also supported an increase in Allied Health services including optometry, audiology and cancer screening.
The service sees its role as being committed to delivering a range of health and community services to improve the health and well-being of the community it serves and to do that the service has outlined its values and goals for the next three years.
The Strategic Plan has been developed to respond to the issues faced by the community and will be implemented through annual plans with budgets formulated through funding agreements and policy directions within the State and Commonwealth.
“The Community Health Survey has been such a valuable tool in helping us to better understand our community”, Ms Pease, Beaufort and Skipton Health Service, CEO said. “It has given us knowledge to ensure we can tailor our services to meet the needs of our people today and well into the future, she added.Back to Latest News
