Associate Nurse Unit Manager

Part Time (32 hours per F/N)
Fixed Term (1 Sept 2019 – 9 Sept 2020)

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We are currently seeking a professional and highly motivated part-time Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) who is an integral member of the management team, working to support the Nurse Unit Manager in an effective, high quality and financially efficient service, to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care in an efficient clinical environment. On an afterhours basis the ANUM regularly assumes the Grade 5 in charge role.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & attributes:

  • Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence 
  • Supervise the work of staff and assist where necessary in the performance of their duties
  • Participate in the quality improvement program and activities
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development programs

Registered Nurse – Beaufort

Grade 2
Part Time (0.3 EFT) Permanent

Applications are sought from a qualified Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time (0.3 EFT) position. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the total care of the patient and resident, including physical and mental wellbeing and safety, as well as for the management and co-ordination of staff, being at all times mindful of following orders or recommendations of the Director of Nursing and Medical Practitioners.

The Registered Nurse Division 1 is responsible for providing individualised person centred care, on a day-to-day basis. 

Key requirements:

  • Completion of applicable annual mandatory training
  • Current registration with the AHPRA
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in relation to nursing care, relevant to experience and scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes.
  • Demonstrated strong self-management skills.
  • Good understanding and adherence to the principles underpinning person centred care.

Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

We are currently seeking casual Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses at both our Beaufort and Skipton campuses. As an integral member of the clinical team, you will be working with the Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the clinical team within the scope of clinical practice to ensure the delivery of quality person centered care in a variety of clinical settings.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Advanced clinical skills and a commitment to high quality care and services
  • A minimum of three years’ experience as Nurse
  • Experience in an Aged Care facility preferred
  • Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA
  • Commitment to the philosophy of a person-centered approach to providing care and services
  • Understanding and knowledge of Accreditation Standards, Aged Care funding and aged care legislation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Proven ability to guide and motivate staff and promote a positive work environment

Accountant

Part Time (0.8 EFT)
Fixed Term 6 months

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton.

We are currently seeking a professional, proactive and highly motivated part-time Accountant who will provide support to the finance team across a broad range of finance functions, including reconciliations, end of month processing, general journals, KPI reporting, asset maintenance, reporting and governance functions and assisting with audit requirements and other financial tasks as required.

Key requirements include:

  • Relevant accounting qualification - degree
  • Experience in a similar finance role in a Health Service or other environment
  • Strong organisational, communication and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • High level of computer skills and an aptitude for system
  • Ability to work as part of a highly functional team and contribute to the ongoing strength and success of the team

Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

Part Time 0.6 EFT (Beaufort)

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. This position is based at the Beaufort campus, a leisurely 35 minute drive from Ballarat on the National or Western Highway.

The EEN is an integral member of the Clinical team working with the Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the Registered Nurses working within their scope of clinical practice to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care in a variety of clinical settings.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
