Maintenance Officer

Part Time

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We are currently seeking a professional and highly motivated part-time Maintenance Officer who will provide support to the Maintenance Coordinator to ensure that the organisations grounds, buildings, plant and equipment are well maintained and compliant with all appropriate regulations to provide a safe environment for the organisation and community. The position is 3 days per week. The successful applicant will be based at the Skipton Campus, however will be required to work across both sites as rostered.

Key requirements include:

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Experience in similar role in a Health Service or other environment
  • Knowledge and experience in OHS practices and procedures
  • Comprehensive experience with power and garden tools
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
  • High level of organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Flexibility in approach to tasks allocated
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be highly organised
  • Ability to be demonstrate a solution orientated approach to problem solving

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & attributes:

  • Sound knowledge of compliance issues as they relate to a health service
  • Ability to embrace and contribute to new approaches when dealing with changes in workplace conditions.

Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

Part Time 0.8 EFT (Beaufort)

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We are currently seeking a professional and highly motivated part-time Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, who is an integral member of the Clinical team working with the Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the Registered Nurses within their scope of clinical practice to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care in a variety of clinical settings.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & attributes:
 

  • BSHS values of excellence, teamwork, respect, trust and community
  • Advanced clinical skills and a commitment to high quality care and services
  • A minimum of three years’ experience as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
  • Experience in an Aged Care facility preferred
  • Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
  • Commitment to the philosophy of a person-centred approach to providing care and services
  • Understanding and knowledge of Accreditation Standards, Aged Care funding and Aged care legislation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Proven ability to guide, motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
  • Commitment to undergo a Police Check and hold current Working With Children’s Check

Associate Nurse Unit Manager

Part Time 0.8 EFT (Skipton)

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service is a rural health service that provides urgent care, community health, medical services, acute care and residential aged care in integrated units at Beaufort and Skipton. We are currently seeking a professional and highly motivated part-time Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) who is an integral member of the management team, working to support the Nurse Unit Manager in an effective, high quality and financially efficient service, to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care in an efficient clinical environment. On an afterhours basis the ANUM regularly assumes the Grade 5 in charge role.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & attributes:

  • Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence 
  • Supervise the work of staff and assist where necessary in the performance of their duties
  • Participate in the quality improvement program and activities
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development programs
