Peter Birkett

(Interim Chief Executive Officer)
MBA, BCom, RM, RN, MCHSM, MAICD

Peter joins Beaufort and Skipton Health Service after 21 years at Hesse Rural Health, where he developed the service into a rural integrated care facility, with a nationally and internationally recognised dementia unit.

Peter has successfully merged a career in nursing, midwifery and commerce, working in metropolitan and rural regions. He has extensive experience in health service management and governance and is passionate about lifting the business and quality profile of aged care in the public domain.

Rebecca Van Wollingen

Director of Clinical Services
Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Nursing, Masters of Public Health

Rebecca commenced working at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in April 2018. Before coming to BSHS she was Manager for Camperdown & Lismore Community Health at South West Health Care. Rebecca has experience working in the acute sector and community health in numerous roles including for the Department of Health and Human Services and on international projects.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys working on her 40-acre lifestyle farm with her husband. She has 30 Alpacas; all called ‘Steve”! She also enjoys studying and is currently working towards her MBA. Once that is completed, she will consider, what’s next.

Dr Amir Rahimi

Amir Rahimi is a general practitioner and medical administrator with more than 20 years’ experience overseas and in Australia. Upon finishing his undergraduate medical degree (MD) in Iran, Amir worked in various practice and hospital settings, including his own general practice clinic, before moving to Australia. In Australia, Amir worked as a GP in and around Geelong and in medical administration positions at the Royal Children’s Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and in the latter he served as Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Amir also served as a board director of the GP Association of Geelong, Barwon Medicare Local and then Western Victoria Primary Heath Network where he chaired the Finance, Audit and Risk subcommittees. He is a current member of board of directors of Colac Area Health.

Amir is a fellow of RACGP and is in final year or training with The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA). He also completed Master of Medicine in infections and immunity at the University of Sydney and Master of Professional Accounting at James Cook University and Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Course.

Amir has recently started his new role as part time GP at Horsham and also Director of Medical Services for Stawell Regional Health, Rural Northwest Health and Beaufort and Skipton Health Service.

Christena Renouf

Chief Financial Officer

I have worked in public health finance for 13 years and I have worked in finance for over 25 years in various industries and positions. I have a strong passion for Aged Care and have been involved in residential finance for around 10 years.

I am enjoying working with such wonderful dedicated staff in a pleasant environment. I have a passion for working for rural health services and I value team work and community presence.

External to work I have two adult male children one with a severe disability who keeps me very busy. I love the company of my animals, family and good friends. I am traveling to Europe in 2018 and look forward to the adventure.

Katrina Perroud

Director of Quality and Risk
Bachelor of Nursing, Master’s Business Administrative Management

The Director of Quality and Risk is responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of Quality and Risk Management systems at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in line with standards that govern our Health Service and legislative obligations relevant to the care and services we provide. The Director of Quality & Risk works with all stakeholders to ensure consumers receive care and services that are personal, effective, connected and safe.

Narelle Harrison

Executive Assistant

Narelle commenced with Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in 2015, as an Executive Assistant to the CEO. Narelle brings to her role, experience of over five years as a legal secretary, before spending a number of years in recreational campsite management. Narelle has also spent several years in hospitality and conference management for Accor, international hotel chain.

She has used her spare time to bring her singing and entertainment skills to many venues throughout Victoria, with her small band of local entertainers. Narelle has also enjoyed many years of travelling, training and teaching in equine sports and loves some quiet time in the garden.
