Meryn has extensive healthcare experience working in regional and rural health care services and has a nursing and midwifery background, having held senior executive nursing roles in Queensland and Victoria.  She has held various senior executive nursing roles in Queensland and Victoria prior to commencing her role as CEO for a Victorian regional health service.

Meryn's passion is creating an environment where staff are engaged, motivated and inspired to deliver excellent care for their community.

Dr. Craig Winter

Craig commenced as the Director of Medical Services at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in early 2020.

Craig is a Fellow of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine and works part time at St. Vincent’s Hospital Emergency Department in Melbourne. Craig has previously held positions as the Director of Emergency Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Northern Hospital, La Trobe Regional Hospital and the Masonic Hospital in Sydney.

Craig has over 15 years of experience working as a small rural health service Director of Medical Services and enjoys this role.

Mary Cushing 

Director of Clinical Services

Mary is a registered nurse with many years of experience in both Metropolitan and regional public health services, working in both critical care and quality and safety. Mary has held many senior roles in organisational quality and safety for the last ten years.

Mary is passionate about creating an environment where patients, staff and the community feel valued and can be proud of the excellent care provided by the health service.

Mary and her family live locally, where they operate a farming enterprise which has been in her husband’s family for 150 years.  Together they are part of the Lake Goldsmith Fire Brigade, are current members of the Skipton Football Netball Club and past members of the Beaufort Football Netball Club.  

Chris Nykoluk

Chief Financial Officer

BCom (Acct) CPA

Chris has many years of experience in varied financial roles encompassing financial management, systems and control, internal and external financial reporting and financial and legislative compliance reporting. Chris also has extensive experience across financial, compliance, acquittal and internal audits.

Chris supports the Health Service operations with his excellent knowledge of financial controls and reporting.

Chris enjoys spending time with his family in his spare time.
