Vicki commenced at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in March 2017. Prior to commencing at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service Vicki was CEO for four years at Boort District Health. Previous roles included CEO of West Moreton Medicare Local (Brisbane) and CEO of Brisbane South Division of General Practice.
Vicki is a Director of the VHIA and recently appointed to the Victorian Clinical Council. Vicki has a Masters in International Health and Bachelor of Education and completed leadership courses at Harvard (USA). Vicki has completed the change management program run by the National Health Service (UK).
In Vicki’s spare time she is renovating a house and building a new garden on acreage. Vicki is interested in Aboriginal art, early Australian furniture, fashion and reading.
Dr. Rick Lowen
Director of Medical Services

Dr Rick Lowen is a former country GP who for over 30 years worked at Victorian country regional, metropolitan and private hospitals in senior Emergency Medicine and Medical Administrative positions. Whilst now retired from Emergency Medicine, Rick still practices Urgent Care medicine in Melbourne whilst also providing part-time Visiting Medical Director advice and support to 6 small rural Victorian district hospitals, including at Beaufort & Skipton Health Service. When not working, Rick’s hobbies include music, reading, wilderness travel and hobby farming.
Shaye Metcalf commenced at Beaufort and Skipton Health Services in January 2011, after spending 21 years in the Royal Australian Navy (Dental Category) as a Warrant Officer, where she gained a wealth of experience in health and dental care. Shaye excelled in this role, which led to her to travelling Australia extensively to conduct governance auditing of dental facilities.
In January 2011 Shaye was welcomed to Beaufort and Skipton Health Serve as the Practice Manager of both Beaufort and Skipton practices. In 2015 her role increased to include overseeing Community Health Care, before being promoted to the Operations Manager in 2017, where she oversees all non-clinical services at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service.
In her spare time, Shaye enjoys spending time with her family, training and working with her dogs and horses.
Acting Director of Clinical Services (Beaufort Campus)

Danielle is currently the Acting Director of Clinical Services (Beaufort Campus) for Beaufort and Skipton Health Service. Prior to this role, Danni worked as a Care Co-Ordinator of the Transition Care Program in the Health Service. Danielle has extensive knowledge and experience working within the public, private and community areas of health care.
Danni has a strong focus on strength based and collaborative leadership, believing every member of the Health Service plays an integral part in service of delivery and care of our residents, clients and patients. Danni is also a strong advocate of client choice and client focused care and enjoys developing people within their roles.
Outside of work, Danni volunteers on the Shower Bus and loves camping with family and friends.
Acting Director of Clinical Services (Skipton Campus)

Andrea has an extensive knowledge of Rural Health, working for over twenty years in various management and leadership positions.
She is currently the Acting Director of Clinical Services (Skipton Campus), and enjoys the challenge of working in this role, as it is fulfilling and enables her to have a direct impact on developing quality and person centred care within the Health Service. Andrea has always had a passion for Aged Care as shown through attaining a Masters of Nursing (Aged Care), among other qualifications. She is committed to ensuring that her workforce reflects this in their interactions with residents and in the delivery of care.
Outside of work, Andrea is committed wife and mother, who enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and reading.
Chief Financial Officer

I have worked in public health finance for 13 years and I have worked in finance for over 25 years in various industries and positions. I have a strong passion for Aged Care and have been involved in residential finance for around 10 years.
I am enjoying working with such wonderful dedicated staff in a pleasant environment. I have a passion for working for rural health services and I value team work and community presence.
External to work I have two adult male children one with a severe disability who keeps me very busy. I love the company of my animals, family and good friends. I am traveling to Europe in 2018 and look forward to the adventure.

Kim is a positive and energetic role model, with a passion for education and staff development. She has an extensive clinical career, specialising in Emergency Nursing. Kim has also spent time teaching customer service in private industry, and under graduate Nursing and medical students through University and the Rural Clinical School. She embraces a positive work culture that enables growth and support for everyone to reach their potential. Kim’s personal belief is that we never stop learning, and as such, embraces every opportunity to learn and grow.
Kim strongly believes that a work life balance is essential for personal wellness. She is a dedicated mother and wife who loves to cook, travel and read.
Narelle commenced with Beaufort and Skipton Health Service in 2015, as an Executive Assistant to the CEO. Narelle brings to her role, experience of over five years as a legal secretary, before spending a number of years in recreational campsite management. Narelle has also spent several years in hospitality and conference management for Accor, international hotel chain.
She has used her spare time to bring her singing and entertainment skills to many venues throughout Victoria, with her small band of local entertainers. Narelle has also enjoyed many years of travelling, training and teaching in equine sports and loves some quiet time in the garden.
Nurse Unit Manager (Skipton Campus)
Petrina has worked for Beaufort and Skipton Health Service as an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager for 4 years, before being promoted as a Nurse Unit Manager at the Skipton Campus since May 2017.
Petrina is originally from Eyre Peninsula, SA and trained at the University of South Australia. After moving to Victoria she worked for Ballarat Health Service for 9 years specialising in Cardiology and Stroke.
She has a passion for quality Aged Care and being a part of a positive team environment. Petrina has found her new Nurse Unit Manager role to be exciting, challenging and rewarding.
Living and working in the Skipton area allows her to be a familiar face for people coming to use the Health Service.
When not at work Petrina is busy looking after her kids (9 and 7 yr old twins), helping out on the farm or in the garden. She loves sharing food and wine with good friends.
Acting Nurse Unit Manager (Beaufort Campus)
Mark starting working at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service, as a Graduate Registered Nurse in 2015. On completion of his term, Mark was offered a permanent position before going on to the role of Assistant Nurse Unit Manager. Mark is currently undertaking a secondment as Acting Nurse Unit Manager at Beaufort. As well as studying the RIPERN course, Mark is currently completing his Post Graduate Certificate of Leadership and Management through the Australian College of Nursing.
Mark enjoys working at Beaufort and Skipton Health Service, for the sense of community and knowing that he is making a difference.
Recently engaged, Mark has plans to be married in March, and will also be busy building a house in the upcoming year. In his spare time, Mark enjoys weekends away with good wine, cheese and company.
